What To Do With My Swarovski Figurines

I get asked a lot by folks just what can be done with my swarovski crystal figurines?

Well, there are a lot of different things my little animal figurines can be used for.  I have put together a collection of photos to help you see just how cute these guys are and some ideas. Of course, the ideas of what you can use these guys for is endless just use your imagination :)

First up is what a lot of people like to do is set them on the shelf, you can have just one or a whole collection!

A shelf full of Bunny Figurines

A shelf full of Kitty Cat Figurines

Even a collection of dog figurines

Like the outdoor type of critters, here are some real cuties

I think you get the idea of how they look so cute on your shelf too. Stop by my shop and get yours today!

But there are countless other ideas these little guys can be used for like, hanging off your purse -

You can put them on your cell phone as a charm -

Add them to your keys -

As you can see there are countless ways to use swarovski crystal figurines. It is easy to add a jump ring to the top of them and they can go every where you go! All my swarovski figurines can be turned into a charm!

And here is another great idea my daughter thought of too, you can put them on your Christmas tree :)

Teen Pageant Update

Wanted to up date everyone on the pageant my daughter was in from my last post.

She didn't win anything but the experience was great and she was able to make a lot of new friends.

We had a great time, it was stressful and time consuming but wow what an experience for both of us.

Not sure she will do it again anytime soon, but she does love fashion :)

No matter what she is a winner in my book.

Pictures coming soon, waiting for them to get here. We paid to have a professional focus in on her during all the stages of the pageant so now we get to wait for them to come.

Stay tuned for them !

2012 Teen Pageant

Okay so you are probably wondering why I would title a post like this, when I am a beader and make things?

Well my 15yr daughter, who is my graphic designer, and loves to stay on top of the latest trends with make-up  and clothes has been accepted as a participant for the Miss 2012 Jr Teen Pageant!!!!!!! She will be representing Sacramento and the surrounding areas if she wins. She will also get a paid round trip to participate in the 2012 National Pageant in Orlando, Fl. The local pageant will be held on April 28th.

This is so exciting for both of us and wanted to share what will be happening in the coming weeks and asking for some support for her.

There are 3 areas of competition, interview, causal wear, and formal wear.

Here is a press release that will better explain all this -

Local Young Lady Competes For The Miss Jr. Teen Sacramento Title

Elizabeth Miller of Elk Grove was recently selected to participate in the 2012 Miss Jr. Teen Sacramento pageant competition that will take place on Saturday April 28, 2012. Elizabeth learned of her acceptance into this year's competition when the pageant announced their selections following interviewing in the local Sacramento area. Elizabeth submitted an application and took part in an interview session that was conducted by this year's Sacramento Pageant Coordinator.

Elizabeth will be competing, for her share of thousands of dollars in prizes and specialty gifts that will be distributed to contestants. Elizabeth will be competing in the Miss Jr. Teen division, one of four divisions that will have young ladies ages of 7 and 19 competing in modeling routines, which include casual wear and formal wear. Most important, Elizabeth will display her personality and interviewing skills while interviewing with this year's Sacramento judging panel. Personality is the number one aspect that each contestant is judged on during all phases of competition.

If Elizabeth were to win the title of Miss Jr. Teen Sacramento, she would represent Sacramento and the surrounding communities at the National Competition that will take place in Orlando, Florida. Over $30,000.00 in prizes and awards will be presented at the National Competition while each winner enjoys this expense paid trip of five nights and six days in Orlando, Florida.

Community businesses, organizations, and private individuals will assist Elizabeth in participating in this year's competition by becoming an official sponsor to her. Through sponsorship, each contestant receives all the necessary training, rehearsals, and financial support which will allow Elizabeth to become a very confident and well-prepared contestant in this year's Sacramento Pageant.

Any business, organization, or private individual who may be interested in becoming a sponsor to Elizabeth may contact the Miss Jr. Teen Sacramento pageant coordinator, at 1-800-279-0976.

----------------------------------------------

We are in the process now to find sponsors for her, if you are interested or know someone who would be please contact me right a way. All and any support is greatly appreciated, even small amounts to help sponsor her are greatly appreciated. When I have some photos of her will put them for you to see.

March Challenge Fun

I love a challenge so when the company I purchase a lot of my swarovski crystals from informed me they were going to be having a Challenge every day of the month of March, I couldn't resist but join in on the fun.

The company I use is FusionBead.com they are great with speedy delivery and No Shipping fees, now you can't beat that. They have a wide variety of great jewelry needs from seed beads to findings and more.

Okay so for the challenge I will not be doing something everyday as some of the challenges are not things I do, like wire wrapping and working with wires.

If you are a jewelry maker you might want to consider joining in on the fun check out their blog here
30 Day Challenge

I will be doing a lot of them and will post on my challenge days what I did for that challenge.

March 1st is to make a pair of earrings, oh easy peasy for me lol But it is a challenge so need some ideas on what I can make?? Leave a comment with your ideas.

I am considering these possibilities -

Until next time thanks for stopping by look forward to hear what you think would make a good pair of earrings for the challenge.

Beardie Gets A New Home

Yes, I have bearded dragons :) my son is an adivid reptile lover, we have had beardies, as most like to call them, Leopard Geckos, turtles, snakes, and much more over the past few years.

Here are some pictures of my son (Todd) bearded dragon, Amelia, and my daughter (Betsy) bearded dragon, Dash.

Amelia

Dash

Both are about 3 years old now, we got them both when they were just a few months old. At that age they measure about 2 to 3 inches without their tail.

Well this weekend we had the fun of upgrading Dash's tank, he has been in a 20gal tank and he is way too big for that small of a tank so Saturday we upgraded him to his new 40gal tank.

Dash's old home - 20gal you can see not much room

Setting up the new 40gal tank

Dash's New Home and he LOVES it :)

He is so much happier now, he use to be aggressive and I was really worried. If you put your hand in his tank he always attacked your hand. And Beardies are very docile and mellow reptiles, they are the best reptile for any beginner. Even a 5 year old can handle them :)

Once he was in his new home, he is now happy and doesn't even try to come toward your hand or even attack it :)

Just wanted to share a bit more bout myself and some of our fun times together, :)

Thanks
